D’Annunzio in Rome: “Il piacere”
With this very unique itinerary we’ll follow the foot prints of one of the greatest representatives of the Italian literature, who arrived to Rome at the end of the 19th century and was an eyewitness of the deep transformation of the city, which was the capital of the Reign of Italy since a few years before. Starting from the Imperial forums area, we’ll climb up the Quirinal Hill; then we’ll go on to Trinità dei Monti and the Spanish steps, matching the beauty of today’s Rome to Gabriele D’Annunzio’s poetic descriptions in his first important novel. A journey in beauty and history!
