Hadrian’s Villa and D’Este Villa
A few kilometers from Rome, we’ll spend the whole day in name of beauty, visiting at first the amazing villa that emperor Hadrian built close to Tivoli. We’ll walk through the emperor’s private rooms, in the gardens where he could relax and be pleased, in the wonderful buildings reminding him his travels to the farthest and the most evocative places of the empire. At the end of the tour we’ll move to Tivoli to enjoy a light lunch in a typical local restaurant and then we’ll visit the wonderful villa owned by Cardinal Ippolito d’Este, real jewel in Reinassance architecture and art. After enjoying the frescoes in the lovely rooms of the palace, we’ll end our walk admiring the fountains in the garden, and among them the wonderful Ovato fountain and the Organ fountain, where we’ll stop to listen the harmonious music.
